Looking ahead

It’s nearly 2017 and I have news.

First, my new book The Liar’s Handbook is out with Barrington Stoke on January 17.  Written for dyslexic readers (but for everyone) it’s a thriller about a boy called River who is a compulsive liar.  I loved writing River’s story, and I think it’ll appeal particuarly to people who liked my When I was Joe trilogy.

Second, the musical version of Lia’s Guide to Winning the Lottery that I’ve been working on with composer Paul Herbert and production company Perfect Pitch is nearly finished, now we’re working with lyricist Lesley Ross. It’s going to be performed by students from UCLAN in March.

And third, Atom will be publishing my book Stranger in January 2018. Stranger is a big deal for me, I’ve been working on it for four years, on and off, and it’s something very different to my other books. Think historical, romantic, tear-jerking…and finished (apart from the editing). At last!
